1/2" (12.70mm) Plastic Pipe Connector

These pipe connectors fit inside 1/2" (12.70mm) internal diameter tubing and have barbs on them to help grip the pipe once in place.

3" long, these connectors will give a tight fit in 1/2" (12.70mm) internal diameter tubing. You will need to heat the tubing either in hot water or with a hair dryer to soften the plastic in order to push it in. As the tubing cools the plastic shrinks back down onto the fitting further securing it.

The connectors have a small collar in the center. Some people like to file this off to enable the 2 ends of tubing to come up tight against each other. Others leave the collar (it doesn't stick up higher than the tubing and so doesn't spoil the line of the hoop) in place and either fill the gap with something or simply wrap a piece of Duct tape around the join to hold it firm and to disguise the join.
