Our high-energy, long-life, photo-luminescent tape has amazing photo-luminescence. It is brighter and longer-lived than any other tape we could find. Value for brightness after 10 minutes in darkness is 179 millicandelas/lux/sq.m. (a typical photo-luminescent tape has a brightness of 30 millicandelas/lux/sq.m.). The tape retains its glow for up to twelve (12) hours with gradually diminishing brightness. Suitable for mid-term (6-12 months) outdoor use under intense exposure to sun.

This "glow-in-the-dark" tape is energized by a new, long-lived photo-luminescent mineral (strontium oxide aluminate) that is non-toxic & non-radioactive.

The tape is 9 mils thick (9/1000") and charges fully with only 5 minutes exposure to light. Any type of light will charge the tape, but sunlight, halogen, xenon, & fluorescent lights work best. Energy saving bulbs do charge the tape, but not as fully as more powerful lights.

They can be recharged almost an indefinite number of times and can last as long as 20 years.

This tape is adhesive with a peel-off backing, so be sure to apply it only to clean, dry, oil free surfaces that are above 50°F.

Theatrical - recently used to mark high level platforms and access steps to the platforms for actors to position themselves on in the dark. They were an essential safety feature! Also, marking obstacles in the wings and other backstage areas.
